• Face consistency. Someone's face drifts into someone else's halfway through? Alter watches every face from the moment the clip opens, part by part — jaw, nose, brows, mustache, beard, skin — shows you where it drifts past its limit, and holds it to the face you set as its bearing.
• Things that shouldn't be there. Click it, or draw round it: Alter follows it across the clip, takes it out, and puts back what the clip shows behind it.
• Words in the scene. Signs, labels and captions in the picture that came out misspelled or as nonsense: taken out, or pushed past at the edge of the frame.
• Flicker. Light that jumps from frame to frame, made steady; the rest of the shot left alone.
• The bad seconds. A glitch, or an ending that falls apart: cut out, sound kept.
And for fun: swap a face, put a new background behind someone, or try a lens that rides a face.
Say what's wrong in your own words — "his face changes from 8 to 12 s", "remove the ball at 3 s" — or point at it. Every fix says what it will do, over which frames and how long, before you press Go. Compare Before and After, undo anything, review every change, then export.
Work on your clip with Claude: link Alter to the Claude app on your Mac, and Claude looks at your clip, finds what's wrong and fixes it with you. Edit > Undo takes back anything it does.
