Narra: Ren'Py Visual Novels

Your stories, saves & mods

$5.00 · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Bring the Ren'Py visual novels you already own. Narra picks the right engine, syncs your saves with iCloud and offers to save before a choice. Buy once, no ads. Narra plays the Ren'Py visual novels you already own, on iPhone and iPad. Add a game from the Files app, and Narra picks the right engine, keeps your saves safe and stays out of the way while you read. Narra doesn't sell games or download them. Apart from one short sample story, Narra's First Story, you bring your own: games you bought, made yourself or got from their creators. BRING YOUR GAMES • Add a game folder, or a ZIP, RAR or 7z archive, including password-protected and split archives • Or drop a game into Files > On My iPhone > Narra > Games, and Narra finds it by itself • Collections, search, favorites and play status, with covers found for you • Add a newer version of a game and your saves stay where they are THE RIGHT ENGINE FOR EVERY GAME • Ren'Py 7.4 to 8.6 built in • Narra reads each game and picks the matching engine; choose another on the game's page if you like • Screen variants, fonts, text speed and orientation for a single game A FRIEND AT THE EDGE OF THE SCREEN • Narra holds on to the edge while you read, and the arc around her fills as the story goes on • When a choice comes up, she offers to save first • A compact bar for rewind, skip and hide text box: move it, resize it, choose up to five buttons • A pause screen with progress, play time, quick save and load, screenshots and text settings SAVES YOU CAN TRUST • A save manager for every game, with a screenshot for each slot • Back up, import, export and restore; a safety backup is made before anything is replaced • iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad, even while you play MODS AND GALLERY • Add mods, put them in order and switch them on or off, for one game or for every game • Start a game once without mods when something misbehaves • Browse a game's images, music and videos, including what's inside its .rpa archives PLAY IT YOUR WAY • Game controllers and keyboards • Portrait reading on iPhone • A Recently Played widget, Home Screen quick actions, Siri and Shortcuts • Lock a game with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode; its cover stays blurred in your library • Light and dark appearance, in 17 languages BUY ONCE, NOTHING TO TRACK Buy Narra once and it's all yours. The optional Supporter subscription adds extra animated background themes. No account, no ads, no analytics. Your games and saves stay on your device and in your own iCloud. Narra Supporter is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. It unlocks the animated background themes, and nothing else. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Tips are one-time thank-yous and don't unlock anything.
