Options Organizer keeps a private, encrypted record of the stock and option trades you make at your broker, and shows live P&L and Greeks on your Mac and iPad.
WATCHLIST
• Stock prices that refresh on a timer, with change, the day's range and the 52-week range.
OPTION CHAIN
• Calls and puts side by side by strike, with bid, ask, last, implied volatility and Greeks.
• When Greeks aren't supplied, they're calculated with American pricing models (Bjerksund-Stensland 2002 or Barone-Adesi-Whaley) and shown in italics.
POSITIONS
• Record share purchases as lots. Sell or cover oldest first (FIFO), from a single lot, or record short sales.
• Enter option positions by hand, add them from the chain, or import a CSV from your broker with a column mapping you can save.
• Close legs fully or partly, or mark expired options worthless.
• Running totals for realized and unrealized P&L, broker fees, market value, delta, dollar delta, theta, vega and gamma.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your positions, watchlist and settings are encrypted on your device before they're saved, and sync through your own private iCloud database. Only your devices hold the key.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts. The app connects only to Alpaca for market data and to your iCloud.
MARKET DATA
Market data comes from Alpaca. You'll need a free Alpaca account; a paper-trading account is enough. Step-by-step instructions for creating API keys are built into the app. On Alpaca's
free plan, option quotes come from its indicative feed and aren't tradeable prices; the paid OPRA feed is supported.
IMPORTANT
Options Organizer is a tracking and analysis tool and doesn't place trades. Nothing in it is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Calculated Greeks and
implied volatility are model estimates; always confirm prices with your broker. Options involve significant risk and are not suitable for all investors.
