Lunella is the heat calendar for your female dog. You record when the heat starts and ends and what you notice; Lunella shows you which phase she is in, what it means and what comes next.
UNDERSTAND THE PHASE
• Proestrus, standing heat, diestrus, resting phase: ring and bar show where in the cycle your dog is.
• For every phase: what happens in the body, how to recognise it, what you can do and when to see the vet.
• Based on MSD Veterinary Manual, Cornell and dvm360.
PREDICT
• Next heat as a time span, the first time from your dog's size, afterwards ever more precise from your own entries.
• Ovulation and most fertile days, end of heat, watch windows for uterine infection and false pregnancy, a good window for spaying.
• Warnings when something is unusual: bleeding too long, intervals too short or too long, overdue heat.
OBSERVE
• One tap is enough: "Heat starts today", "Standing today", "Heat is over".
• Daily observation with bleeding, discharge, vulva, behaviour and note, coloured by phase in the calendar.
FOR BREEDERS
• Breeder mode with progesterone values (ng/ml or nmol/l) and interpretation, mating, ovulation from the vet, due date, pregnancy milestones with reminders.
• Report as a text file for the veterinary practice.
REMINDERS
• Before the next heat, daily during the heat, four weeks afterwards for a check-up. Locally on the device.
YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION
All features free for 7 days. After that, Lunella continues with the yearly subscription for €9.99 a year; everything recorded so far stays visible. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled any time in your Apple account.
PRIVACY
All data stays on the device. No account, no server, no ads, no tracking. Backup as a file, several dogs, setup password. In English, German, French and Spanish.
Lunella does not replace a vet: all figures are typical values from veterinary literature.
