CueLint brings video, timed captions, translation drafts and delivery checks into one Mac workspace for freelance subtitlers, video editors and small production teams. CHECK THE DELIVERY Import SRT or basic WebVTT and open a local video. Click a cue to seek to its time, inspect the subtitle overlay and adjust the video pane. Find fast reading, long lines, short or long durations, gaps and overlaps. Correct text and timing with a reason, undo changes and record reasoned exceptions. Compare a previous subtitle version to inspect text, timing and changed findings. EDIT TWO LANGUAGES Work on original and translation side by side, each with independent text and times. Pair matching time ranges, resolve unmatched cues, mark reviewed pairs and export either track separately. Save a bilingual project to retain both tracks and the review record. APPLE SPEECH AND TRANSLATION Generate a draft from the first audio track of a local video using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Requires macOS 26+, compatible hardware and a supported language. Free: first 60 seconds, up to 150 cues. Premium: videos up to two hours, up to 20,000 cues. Translate subtitle drafts on your Mac with Apple's Translation framework on macOS 15+ and supported language pairs. Missing language models require your consent to download. Preview results before applying them; recognition, translation and automatic findings always require human review. EXPORT AND CONTINUE Export SRT, WebVTT, SBV, basic TTML or plain TXT. Import remains SRT/basic WebVTT. Non-SRT exports use plain text; TXT has no timecodes. Save review or bilingual JSON projects explicitly before closing; there is no autosave. Original input files are protected from overwriting. The searchable offline help explains all workflows in six languages. FREE OR ONE-TIME PREMIUM Use up to 150 cues per track without a time limit. Free includes video review, bilingual editing, corrections, version comparison, timing offset and the five exports. Optional Premium raises the limit to 20,000 cues per track and adds saved client profiles, two-point synchronization, timing-rate adjustment, CSV findings and English HTML delivery reports. One-time purchase, no subscription. Your video and subtitle content is processed locally, not uploaded by CueLint. No ads or developer tracking. Apple services handle model downloads and purchases; Apple Translation may collect framework usage/performance information, not subtitle content. Core review requires macOS 13+. CueLint is a subtitle-review tool, not a video editor, burn-in tool or certified linguistic approval service.
