PreReel is a fishing camera that is always one step ahead. While the app is open, it quietly keeps a rolling buffer of what just happened. When a fish bites and you hit record, the seconds before you pressed are saved together with everything after, in one clip.
PRE-ROLL THAT CATCHES THE MOMENT
- Choose 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds of pre-roll
- Hit record late and still keep the strike, the hookset and the splash
- Stop recording and PreReel saves the clip to Photos, then goes straight back to pre-roll
- Forgot to hit record? Tap “Save Last 30 s” to keep what just happened
HANDS BUSY? JUST SAY IT
- Offline voice commands: say “Start recording” or “Stop recording”
- Speech is recognized on your iPhone, so it works without a signal

CONTROL IT FROM YOUR WRIST OR EARBUDS

- Track a fishing workout on Apple Watch and save it to the Health app
- Use the play/pause button on Bluetooth headphones, or AirPods camera remote on supported models with iOS 26
- Volume buttons can start and stop recording too

Good to know: iOS doesn’t allow the camera to keep recording when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. Keep PreReel open (power-saving mode helps) and it will be ready when the fish is.
