Turn any chart into numbers. Calibrate the axes in a few clicks, auto-trace curves by colour, and take exact values straight from vector PDFs. Curvegrab turns charts into numbers. Open a plot from a paper, a datasheet, a report or a screenshot, calibrate its axes in a few clicks, and get the data points out as a table you can use. EXACT VALUES FROM VECTOR PDFS Most datasheets and papers are vector PDFs. Curvegrab reads the paths on the page itself, so you click a curve or a marker and get the values that were plotted: no tracing, no rounding to pixels. Add a whole curve, every piece of a curve drawn in chunks, or the centres of all markers of one kind. AUTO-TRACE BY COLOUR Click a curve with the eyedropper and Curvegrab follows it from there, across grid lines and dashes. Choose one point every N pixels or every X step, add smoothing, or collect scatter markers. Paint over legends and labels with the mask eraser to keep them out. EVERY KIND OF AXIS • Linear, log10, natural log and date/time axes • Rotated or slanted scans: two points per axis are enough • Three or four known points for skewed images, with the fit error shown • Polar plots, ternary diagrams and bar charts PRECISE BY HAND • A magnifying loupe follows the pointer • Points snap to the curve (hold Option to place freely) • Arrow keys nudge by a pixel, Shift by ten, Option by a tenth • Several named, coloured series per chart, with error bars CHECK AND EXPORT • Live data table with sorting and exact value editing • Interpolate a series onto a regular X grid • Export CSV, TSV, Excel (.xlsx), JSON, or ready-to-run Python and MATLAB code, or copy to the clipboard • Save a project with the image, calibration and series, and pick up later BRING CHARTS IN ANY WAY Open PNG, JPEG, TIFF, HEIC or PDF (choose the page), paste from the clipboard, drag and drop, or capture a region of the screen.
