Remember your first music box? You turned the little brass key until it wouldn't turn any more, lifted the lid, and a ballerina began to turn while a handful of bright notes found a tune you somehow already knew. Then it slowed… and stopped. So you wound it again.
Music Box keeps all of that — the key, the lid, the gentle slowing down — and tucks it into your phone.
# DESIGNED FOR IPHONE DUO
On iPhone Duo, opening your phone is lifting the lid. The music swells as it opens, grows soft and muffled as you close it halfway, and fades away when it shuts. On every other iPhone and on iPad, a tap on the lid does the same.
# A PROPER LITTLE MECHANISM
• A brass cylinder, a steel comb and a velvet-lined lid with a small mirror
• A full winding plays for about three minutes, then slows and comes to rest, like the real thing
• Hold the key or the little governor to stop the cylinder; let go and it carries on
• The click of the ratchet, the knock of the lid, and a faint resonance in your hand with every note

Punch holes in a paper strip, as real music boxes were once played, and hear your tune as you go — on a 15-note comb where every hole sounds in tune, or a 30-note comb with every sharp and flat. Or simply hum it, and Music Box turns your melody into holes on the strip. Your tunes sync through iCloud.
