Press Shift-Command-2, drag over anything on your screen, and the text is on your clipboard. Fast, private, and processed entirely on your Mac. Textcatch turns any text on your screen into text you can paste. Press Shift-Command-2, drag over a screenshot, a video, a PDF, an error dialog, or an app that won't let you select text, and Textcatch copies the text to your clipboard. That's it. HOW IT WORKS • Press the keyboard shortcut (Shift-Command-2 by default) from any app • Drag over the area that contains text • The recognized text is copied to the clipboard, ready to paste Textcatch lives in your menu bar, stays out of your way, and works in every app. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Text recognition runs entirely on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework. Your screenshots and text are never uploaded anywhere. Textcatch does not collect any data. New in Textcatch Pro: URL Corrections. Text recognition can confuse similar letters such as "i" and "j" in links. Add your own rules in Settings, for example https://example.com/i/ → https://example.com/j/, and matching URLs are fixed automatically before they are copied. QR codes are never changed.
