Your living room. Your art gallery.
Turn your family room or living room TV into a personal art gallery with Apple TV and Atelier Canvas. Discover museum artwork, create a presentation that suits your home, and let beautiful art become part of everyday life.
DISCOVER YOUR COLLECTION
Browse suggested artists, styles, and subjects, or search for your favorites. Choose individual museum sources or explore all supported sources together. Selecting a suggested collection starts playback, and your recent searches are saved for easy return. Explore Coasts & Harbors, Landscapes, Impressionism, Japanese Prints and more.
MAKE IT FEEL AT HOME
Choose classic frames including Gilt Gold, Antique Gold, Dark Walnut, and Aged Ivory, or display artwork without a frame. Add a mat, use automatic appearance suggestions, and choose warm gallery lighting or the artwork's original colors.
Adaptive sizing shows the whole artwork when filling the screen would crop too much. Fit preserves the complete image; Fill covers the available space. Prefer screen-shaped artwork favors images that suit your display, while other shapes remain available.
LET THE ART STAY
Save artwork with the heart to build your personal Favorites collection. Shuffle your saved artwork, set the rotation interval, or pause on a favorite. Favorites are saved on your Apple TV; images download as needed and offline viewing depends on the image cache. Hide the controls for a clean artwork display. Add gentle motion or schedule a dimmed or black canvas during quiet hours. Your collection and display preferences are remembered between launches.
MADE FOR APPLE TV
Use the Siri Remote to move between artworks, pause playback, and open Gallery & Settings. Illustrated guidance is available inside the app.
MUSEUM ART, BEAUTIFULLY AT HOME
Supported sources include the Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, Rijksmuseum, National Gallery of Art, Yale Center for British Art, and J. Paul Getty Museum, plus curated public-domain artwork from Wikimedia Commons. Artwork credits and source links accompany each piece.
Atelier Canvas provides presentation and software functionality. Artwork and museum data retain their original public-domain status or open licenses. SamEarth, LLC is not affiliated with or endorsed by the museums or Apple. Available artwork and source services may change; search results do not represent every work in a museum's collection.
Internet access is needed to search and download artwork. Cached images may remain available without a connection. TV viewing requires an Apple TV with tvOS 17 or later and a compatible display. TV and Apple TV hardware are supplied separately. Canvas dimming does not control your TV's backlight or system sleep.
Free during our launch period. Enjoy all current features with no subscription or in-app purchases. The app may become a paid download for new users in the future. Users who download it during the free period won’t be charged retroactively.
