Thock It plays a real mechanical keyboard sound every time you press a key, on your laptop keyboard or any keyboard you plug in. It lives in the menu bar, can open at login, and stays out of your way.
BUILT FOR FAST TYPING

• Cobalt and Sky: crisp and clicky

Type in the welcome window or in Settings and switch sounds as you go, Pro ones included, so you find your favorite in seconds.
MOUSE AND TRACKPAD
Turn on mouse and trackpad clicks and every click gets a sound too.

Clicks follow your volume and Quiet Mode.
QUIET MODE (PRO)
Thock It goes quiet by itself when it should:
• On a call or recording, or when the camera is on
• During a meeting on your calendar
• While music or video plays in another app
• When a real keyboard is plugged in, or Low Power Mode is on
• At night, during quiet hours you set
Play Thock It only in the apps you pick, like your writing app, or everywhere except the apps you exclude. Choose headphones only or speakers only, decide how quiet "quiet" is, and get a note when it happens.
SHAPE THE SOUND (PRO)
Set the key release and space bar levels so nothing echoes or booms. Place keys left to right in stereo and add a slight pitch variation, like a real board.
STATS
See today's key presses, your typing streak and a 16-week heatmap of your typing. Stats stay on your Mac.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Thock It needs the Input Monitoring permission to hear key presses and clicks. It uses it only to play sounds.
• It never records or sends what you type, and macOS hides password fields from it.
• Works offline. No account, no ads, no tracking.
