For everything you're going to make. Collect visual references, build moodboards and study light, color and value. Your creative library, on Mac, iPad and iPhone.
For everything you’re going to make.
refrefref is a visual reference library for artists and designers on Mac, iPad and iPhone. Collect images that inspire you, organize them around your projects, and bring them together on moodboards. Keep your references close while you sketch, paint, design or explore your next idea.
COLLECT YOUR INSPIRATION
Import images from Photos and Files, capture images with the Safari extension, or send them to refrefref through the Share menu. Saved source links help you return to where you found a reference.
MAKE YOUR LIBRARY YOUR OWN
Add tags, notes and ratings. Organize references into collections and projects, or use smart collections to gather images that match your rules. Search and filter by tags, colors, ratings and recognized text.
BUILD MOODBOARDS
Arrange, resize, crop and rotate references on a canvas. Group and align images, add drawings, and isolate subjects from their backgrounds. Draw with Apple Pencil on iPad, then export your board as a PNG to share or use elsewhere.
STUDY WHAT YOU SEE
Explore references in full screen. Use value-study controls to examine light and dark, inspect extracted color palettes, and discover related images in your library.
FIND MORE WITH ON-DEVICE ANALYSIS
Image analysis recognizes text, extracts colors and generates searchable automatic tags. Apple Intelligence enhances tagging on supported devices, with Vision providing a fallback. Automatic tags stay separate from the personal tags you create.
KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR WORK
Your library is stored locally and works offline. Turn on optional iCloud sync to bring it to your other devices, and use library backup and restore to keep a separate copy. No refrefref account is required.
