Discard records the things you let go of (objects, photos, files) as exhibits in your own museum. Keep track of what you buy, what you never use and what you let go, and your spending and owning patterns start to show.
■ 10-second capture
One photo or one name, plus a reason, and you're done.
The category is picked from the name, and each exhibit gets a title like “Shirt, never once worn.”
On big clean-up days, turn on Keep adding to record one thing after another.
■ Your own museum
Every exhibit gets a number and hangs in the gallery for its year.
Put it on a pedestal: the photo's background is removed and your item stands on display like a real museum piece.
■ An item's lifecycle
Bought → last used → let go. See at a glance how long you used it and how long it sat untouched.

Your most common reasons, how much of what you let go was barely used, and what you paid for the things you let go.
