The break reminder that asks for nothing: no account, no analytics, no permissions. Unfold watches the clock from your menu bar and tells you when to stand up. Unfold is a break reminder for your Mac's menu bar. It watches the clock while you work and tells you — clearly, once — when it is time to stand up. No sign-up. No account. No analytics. Nothing leaves your Mac. HOW IT WORKS Pick an interval: 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes, or any custom length from 5 to 240 minutes. Unfold counts only the time you are actively using your Mac, and when your interval is up, a full-screen overlay asks you to stand up. A countdown completes the break on its own, or dismiss it with one click. BUILT AROUND YOUR WORKFLOW • Snooze up to three times, five minutes each, when you are in the middle of something • An optional chime five minutes before the break, and an optional notification when it starts • Working-hours scheduling keeps evenings and weekends quiet • Breaks wait while you are in a call, presenting, screen-mirrored, in a Focus session, or away from your Mac • Works across multiple displays, in dark and light mode, with full VoiceOver support YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Unfold reads a single on-device value — how long since your last input — to tell working time from idle time. It never sees which app you are using, never reads your screen, and has no network code at all. Every setting lives on your Mac. WHY UNFOLD Most break apps want permissions, an account, or your attention. Unfold asks for nothing: no Accessibility access, no Full Disk access, no login item unless you choose one. It opens, it reminds, it stays out of the way. Free, with no in-app purchases.
