WHY TORONTO TAXI APP • City meter rates: fares follow the taxi meter rates set by the City of Toronto. No surge pricing on top. • Zero fees: no commission, booking fee or service charge – you pay only the fare, directly to your driver. • Licensed drivers only: every request goes to taxi drivers licensed by the City of Toronto. • Know the price first: see the route and the estimated metered fare before you send your request. • Live tracking: follow your taxi on the map from acceptance to pickup. • Pay your driver directly: in cash, or by card where the driver accepts it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in with your mobile number. 2. Set your pickup point – anywhere in Toronto. 3. Choose your destination, for example Union Station or Pearson Airport. 4. Check the route and the estimated fare, then send your request. 5. A licensed driver nearby accepts it – you see their name, rating and car. 6. Pay the driver at the end of the ride and rate your trip. TORONTO AIRPORT TAXI Ride from anywhere in Toronto to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) or Billy Bishop (YTZ). From downtown to Pearson it is about 27 km, usually 25 to 45 minutes – the app shows the estimated fare for your exact address before you order. TAXIS ACROSS THE GTA Downtown, Midtown, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke and East York – plus rides to Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Hamilton and Niagara Falls. FOR DRIVERS Licensed Toronto taxi drivers receive requests nearby and decide for themselves which rides to accept. Passengers pay their fare directly to the driver. Toronto Taxi is a technology platform that passes your ride request to independent, licensed drivers. It is not a taxi company and does not process ride payments.
