A logic puzzle where you place queens on a board divided into regions by bold lines. No luck, no guessing. Every board in the game can be solved by deduction alone.
RULES
- On an n by n board, place exactly n queens
- One queen in every row, one in every column, and one in every region
- Queens can't touch each other, not even diagonally
- Place them all with no rule broken and the puzzle is solved
- A queen that breaks a rule turns to clear white glass. Placing a queen to check never gives away the answer, and there are no lives or mistakes to count
NEW TO QUEENS?
A short tutorial on a 5x5 board teaches placing queens, marking crosses and using hints step by step. It opens on your first launch and can be skipped. Replay it from the ? button on Home or "How to play" in Settings.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
- Stages: 100 puzzles from 5x5 to 10x10 in four sections (Easy, Medium, Hard, Brutal). Start any section from its first stage; difficulty rises step by step. Stages 1 to 3 show the rules below the board
- Daily: one puzzle a day, the same board for everyone in the world. The day changes at 0:00 UTC. Difficulty follows the day of the week, gentle on Monday and toughest on Sunday. Solve every day of a month to earn that month's trophy. The app goes online to find out which day it is
- Free Play: pick Easy, Medium, Hard or Brutal and a fresh board is made on the spot. Keep going with "Next puzzle" as long as you like
A GOOD FEEL UNDER YOUR FINGER
- Tap for a cross, double-tap for a queen. Drag across cells to add or remove crosses in one stroke
- Zoom the board up to 2x with + and - or by pinching, and move it with two fingers
- Undo goes back one move at a time, with no limit
- White cells, thin lines, and bold lines only where regions meet. Regions aren't told apart by color, so the board is readable with any color vision
- Glass queens, and crosses that lie on the board as glass tiles
- A glass-clinking chime when you solve a puzzle. Haptics and sounds can be turned off in Settings
STUCK? A HINT WITH A REASON
A hint shades the rows, columns or regions it relies on in grey, frames the cell it settles in black, and says why in one line. It shows how to think, not the whole answer. You get 3 free hints a day (reset at 0:00 UTC). Records made with a hint are marked.
RECORDS AND RANKINGS
- Best times are kept for each stage and Free Play level. A Daily keeps the time of your first solve
- Compete on today's Daily ranking inside the app. Joining is optional; pick your name from a fixed set and your avatar (6 chess pieces x 8 colors) in Profile. Only the first hint-free solve of the day counts. Everything is playable without joining
- Records sync across your devices with iCloud when you're signed in
ADS AND PURCHASES
Free to play. After you solve a Stage or Free Play puzzle, a full-screen ad may appear when you move on. It shows only when at least 4 minutes have passed since the last one, never during the first three puzzles, and never after a Daily or after Stage 100.
- Remove Ads (one-time purchase): no more full-screen ads. Nothing else changes
- Premium (auto-renewing subscription): no ads, unlimited hints, and every past Daily before yesterday
Without a subscription you can still play today's Daily and yesterday's.

- Name: Premium (Monthly) / Premium (Yearly)
- Length: renews every month / every year
- Price: shown on the purchase screen in your device's currency
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-renewal: unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews for the same period and your Apple Account is charged
- Manage or cancel: after purchase, in the Settings app under your account's Subscriptions
- You can restore purchases from the app's Settings
