Meritocrai is a news reader for people who want to know how much to trust what they are reading.
You tell it what you care about — in your own words, not from a fixed list of sections. It researches those topics with AI models that search the web, then cross-checks each story against independent sources and shows you the result: a confidence score, how many outlets corroborate it, and flags for the ones that look like hype or a single unsourced claim.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
The widget shows the single highest-confidence story from your feed, with its score and source count, and opens the app when you tap it.
HONEST ABOUT THE AI
Your topics are sent to third-party AI services so they can search and summarise. The app tells you this before you use it, and asks first. Meritocrai runs no analytics and sets no tracking cookies.
The free plan works fully in the app.
