The Music Cities
Concerts, releases, our scene
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
A curated look at the cultural, social, and economic value of heavy music to our cities. The concerts, releases, interviews, and scenes we find worth exploring.
The Music Cities explores the cultural, social, and economic value of heavy music to the cities and scenes around it. It is curated, not comprehensive: the concerts, releases, interviews, and communities we find worth paying attention to, from the Florida DIY underground to the Japanese scene, and the festivals and tours in between.
This is the view through one lens, built around what we find interesting, insightful, and worth covering.
In the app:
• Upcoming concerts we're tracking, across Florida, Japan, and beyond
• New album and single releases as they drop
• Our interviews and reviews
• Field trips: the festivals and tours we travel to cover, from Wacken to Metal Japan
• The Japanese metal scene, at home and touring abroad
From the most-subscribed economic-development channel on YouTube.
