Who will conquer the island? Gather resources on an island of hexagon tiles, extend your roads, and grow your settlements into cities in this strategy board game. With a little luck and a lot of deals, the first player to reach 10 points wins. ■ ORIGINAL MAPS • Besides the classic hex island, play on Hexel's own maps shaped like Japan, America and the whole world • Build roads from Hokkaido to Kyushu or claim your own continent — terrain, numbers and harbors are reshuffled every game • Pinch to zoom on the bigger maps ■ HOW IT PLAYS • Each roll makes resources spring from forests, hills, pastures, fields and mountains • Combine wood, brick, wool, grain and ore to build roads, settlements, cities and development cards • Roll a 7 and the bandit strikes! Hold too many cards and you lose half • Claim a harbor to trade at better 3:1 or 2:1 rates • Hold the Trade Route or the Strongest Guard for 2 bonus points ■ SOLO OR TOGETHER • Take on 2–3 AI rivals anytime (works offline) • Pass one iPhone or iPad around for 2–4 players • Share a room code to play online with friends on the classic island (internet connection required) • Creating online rooms requires the one-time Host Pass purchase.
