WLAN Scout shows what's really going on in your Wi-Fi and home network – no cloud account, no tracking, everything runs locally on your Mac. **Buy once, no subscription** Buy once, keep it forever – no recurring costs, no account, no ads. **Scan the Wi-Fi environment** Every wireless network in range with signal, channel, band and security. The app recommends the least crowded 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6 or 11) and remembers history across scans – so short-lived networks, like a printer in Wi-Fi Direct mode, stay visible too. **Mesh & repeaters** Your own network is broken down box by box – router, repeaters, powerline-with-Wi-Fi – instead of a confusing list of individual radios. Custom names like "upstairs hall" persist for good. **Find LAN devices** Finds printers, weather stations and other devices on the network that don't broadcast Wi-Fi themselves – works with any router, no login required. **Home network (FRITZ!Box only)** When a FRITZ!Box is detected, the app automatically reveals an extra tab: a full device list straight from the box, plus – with a one-time login – topology and per-device Mbps speed. With any other router (Speedport, Vodafone Station & co.) this tab stays hidden; the other three areas work normally there. **Privacy** Scans, history and custom names stay strictly local on your Mac. FRITZ!Box credentials, if ever needed, are stored only in the keychain.
