Dance while the music plays – freeze when it stops! Freeze Dance Fun brings the classic party game, also known as musical statues, to iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Perfect for kids, families, classrooms, birthday parties and rainy afternoons.
CLASSIC FREEZE DANCE
- Press Play and dance to 80 upbeat songs.
- Random mode: the music stops at surprising moments and everyone freezes until it starts again.
- 10, 20 or 30 seconds: a non-stop dance party with a countdown and a new song section every round.
- No camera needed – a parent, teacher or friend can be the judge.
CAMERA GAMES (OPTIONAL)
When a camera is available, the app becomes the judge:
- Freeze: 2 to 8 players. When the music stops, the first dancer to freeze scores a point – dancers who stop at the same moment both score. Anyone who didn't dance gets no point. The first player to reach the target score (1–10) wins.
- Dance score: follow the moves on screen for 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Every dancer is scored on rhythm, energy, variety, moves and flow and earns 1 to 5 stars. Standing still costs points!
- Solo: pick any of the 80 songs, collect stars and beat your personal best. Your stars are shown on the song cards.
LEARN 16 DANCE MOVES
Bounce, Clap, Hands up, Wave, Side step, Jumping jacks, Hip sway, Shoulders, Twist, Disco point, Kicks, March, Swim, Robot, Floss and Punches – each with an animated guide and its own song. Practice for 10, 20 or 30 seconds, with or without the camera. With the camera, you also get a score for your practice.
MIX STUDIO
Create your own 30-second mixes: place song pieces on three decks, choose their length, start point and volume, add silence, reverse pieces and listen as you build. Save your mixes and dance to "My Mixes" in every game.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY AND PRIVATE
- No ads, no accounts, no in-app purchases, no data collection.
- Works completely offline.
- The camera is optional. Images are analyzed live on the device only – photos and videos are never saved or shared, and player recognition is cleared after every game.
ONE APP FOR EVERY SCREEN
- iPhone and iPad: play camera games with the front camera.
- Mac: use the built-in camera or a connected camera.
- Apple TV: control everything with the Siri Remote and dance on the big screen.
CAMERA ON APPLE TV
Apple TV has no built-in camera, but Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later) with tvOS 17 or later can use an iPhone or iPad with iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later as its camera through Continuity Camera. Both devices must be signed in with an Apple Account that uses two-factor authentication.
1. Connect your iPhone or iPad as a camera for Apple TV, for example from FaceTime on Apple TV, and confirm on your device. Tip: on tvOS 18 or later, Settings > Remotes and Devices > Dedicated Camera keeps a plugged-in iPhone ready at all times.
2. Place the iPhone or iPad in landscape orientation near the TV so that every dancer is visible from head to toe.
3. Open Freeze Dance Fun – the Camera button appears automatically as soon as a camera is connected.
Without a camera, the classic game, Learn, Songs and Mix Studio work as usual.
PLAY SAFELY
Clear enough space, play on a non-slip floor, take regular breaks, drink enough water and keep the volume at a comfortable level. Children should always play under adult supervision, especially during longer dance sessions.
