Explanations in your language. ReadSense can now explain words and passages in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese and Korean, as well as English. Choose one in Settings, under Explanation Language. If your iPhone or iPad is set to one of these languages, ReadSense offers it once, under an answer. Your book stays as it is: ReadSense explains what is on the page in your language. It does not translate the book. These languages are new, and English is still the one we have tested most. Also in this version: • The first lookup after installing is as quick as every one after it. • Lookups no longer start slowly after the app has been in the background. • In another language, a word's pronunciation is shown in IPA.

BOOKS THAT WOULDN'T OPEN ReadSense now opens many more EPUBs: scanned books from the Internet Archive, files with small mistakes in them, comics and picture books, and very long books. If a book was refused before, add it again. ADD SEVERAL BOOKS AT ONCE Choose or drop as many files as you like. One message tells you if any couldn't be added, and why. PAGES LEFT IN THE CHAPTER The line at the foot of the page now says how many pages are left in the chapter you're reading. MARK A BOOK FINISHED Hold a cover in your Library, or use the button at a book's end. ALSO NEW • Answers grow with your text size, as far as they stay readable • The page follows Bold Text as soon as you turn it on • On iPhone, the cancel mark no longer covers the words you're selecting • Clearer progress while a free book downloads • The app can send an anonymous report when something fails, so it can be fixed. You can turn this off in Settings.

FREE BOOKS INSIDE More than a thousand classics, ready to read: Austen, Dickens, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Conan Doyle and hundreds more. Tap Free Books in your Library, choose one, and start reading. No account, nothing to pay. SEARCH INSIDE A BOOK Find a word, a name or a phrase. Matches up to where you are come first; later ones stay closed until you ask, so a search never spoils the book. BOOKMARKS Mark a page from the toolbar and come back to it from Contents. READ YOUR WAY A second typeface, three line spacings and three margin widths, and text sizes that go much larger.
