Stavilo helps speech therapists count a speech sample and calculate syllables per minute (SPM) and the percentage of syllables stuttered (%SS). Count manually, correct the last tap, save sessions by client code, and share PDF or CSV reports. It works offline, without an account. One purchase includes every feature, with no subscription or in-app purchases.
Choose a client code and sample type for comparison. Conversation and reading stay separate. The chart and its first/latest values show the same up to eight latest observations.
COUNT WITH A CLEAR CONVENTION
Tap Fluent or Stuttered once for each syllable. Both buttons add one syllable to the total. A stuttered syllable is included in that total, not added a second time. Undo the most recent tap when you need to correct a count.
TIME THE SAMPLE
Start, pause and resume the timer. Paused time is excluded from SPM. The timer pauses when the app leaves the foreground, and an unfinished sample can be restored in a paused state. Set a sample-size goal as a visual guide; it does not stop counting automatically.
KEEP A USEFUL RECORD
Add a client code, sample context and optional notes. Save and filter sessions, inspect each result, and compare samples with the same client code. Use codes instead of identifying names where possible.
SHARE THE NUMBERS
Export selected sessions as PDF or CSV. Reports include counts, duration, %SS, SPM, context and notes, with an explanation of the calculations. You choose when and where to share an export.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Session data is stored locally. We do not collect your session data or require a login. There is no audio recording or automatic speech recognition.

Results reflect the counts and timed sample you enter. The app does not diagnose stuttering, assign severity, or recommend treatment. Clinical interpretation remains with the qualified professional.
