Start one show and your smart lights follow the beat. Philips Hue, Nanoleaf, Govee, LIFX and DMX, together in one show. No account, no cloud of ours, direct over Wi-Fi.
PartyLights makes the lights in your home move to music. One tap, and your Philips Hue, Nanoleaf, Govee, LIFX and DMX lights pulse on the beat, take on the mood of the song and go wild at the drop.
ANY MUSIC SOURCE
The app listens through the microphone, so any source works: a speaker, the radio or a DJ. Playing Spotify or YouTube on this iPhone, even through AirPods? The show gets the sound directly. With Apple Music the app knows exactly which song is playing.
THE APP LEARNS YOUR SONGS
For every song it recognizes, the app remembers the tempo, the beats and the drops. Play it a second time and the show plans ahead: the lights know the drop is coming before you hear it.
STYLES, COLORS AND EFFECTS
- Styles: Club, Festival, Lounge, Dinner or Cinema. One tap sets effects, colors and pace.
- Color Map: paint colors onto the floor plan of your room. Each light takes the color of the spot it stands on.
- Six wave shapes, from Ripple to Comet, travel through the room.
- Palettes: ten ready-made ones, your own, the colors from a photo or from the album cover.
- Advanced: effects on beats, drums, percussion, mood and energy.
YOUR ROOM AS IT IS
With Point Out Lights each light blinks in turn and you tap where it is. After that, waves of light travel through the room as it really is.
DURING THE PARTY
The Light Desk gives you buttons for the moment itself: Blackout, Freeze, Full Light, Next Palette, Boost and Color Wave. Count down to midnight. Your iPhone or iPad joins in as a light. A Live Activity shows the song and the tempo; Control Center, Siri and Shortcuts start and stop the show. The app keeps listening in the background if you allow it.
WITHOUT MUSIC, AND LATE AT NIGHT
Ambience plays calm scenes without music or the microphone, from candlelight to northern lights. The Sleep Timer fades the light out gently. Quiet Hours make the show softer from a time you choose.
YOUR LIGHTS, YOUR NETWORK
The app finds your lights on your own Wi-Fi and controls them directly. No account, no cloud of ours. Multiple Hue bridges, Nanoleaf, Govee, LIFX, and DMX over Art-Net or sACN: all in one show. Lights from other brands join in through the Home app (HomeKit). No lights yet? The demo plays a built-in song on example lights.
SAFE WITH LIGHT
Strobes are off until you deliberately switch them on, with a warning. A flash limit caps how often per second a light flashes, and the app follows the iOS setting Dim Flashing Lights. Stop the show immediately if anyone feels unwell around flashing light.
PRIVACY
The microphone is used only to analyze the music live. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere. Song Recognition sends a fingerprint of the sound (not a recording) to Apple's Shazam service and can be switched off. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
FREE AND PRO
Free: the show on the microphone, with color fades and pulses, on all your directly paired lights. For the first four hours of show time you can try everything in Pro for free. After that, PartyLights Pro unlocks the rest, including Advanced effects, Styles, Color Map, palettes, Light Desk, Ambience, Apple Music, song learning, Arrange Room and HomeKit lights. Pro is available per month, per year or as a one-time purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You manage and cancel it in your Apple Account in Settings.
WHAT YOU NEED
An iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later and lights on the same Wi-Fi network. Philips Hue requires a Hue Bridge; Govee needs "LAN Control" switched on in the Govee Home app. Brand names are the property of their owners; PartyLights is not affiliated with these manufacturers.
