LAN Sentinel is a network health check for the devices on YOUR OWN network. In one scan it finds the security weak spots that usually go unnoticed — and tells you, in plain language, how to fix each one. Point it at your home or office Wi-Fi and it discovers every device (router, NAS, printers, cameras, smart-home gadgets, phones and computers), then checks each one with non-destructive probes. WHAT IT CHECKS • Open ports and risky plain-text services (Telnet, FTP, unencrypted admin pages) • Weak or obsolete TLS, self-signed and expired certificates • SMBv1 — the legacy file-sharing protocol behind WannaCry • UPnP exposure and any WAN port-forwarding rules on your router • Device software versions matched against CISA’s list of actively-exploited vulnerabilities (KEV) • Devices that may be end-of-life or no longer getting security updates • (Optional, opt-in) whether an admin page still accepts a well-known default password CLEAR, ACTIONABLE RESULTS Every finding comes with “what this means” and “how to fix it.” Open a device’s admin page in your browser with one click. With Pro, an on-device AI explains each risk in everyday words and you can export a full HTML or PDF report. PRIVACY FIRST LAN Sentinel is non-destructive: it never attacks, logs in, or changes any device. Your scan results never leave your Mac. The only external request it makes is to download the public CISA vulnerability feed. FOR YOUR OWN NETWORK Scanning is locked to the subnet your Mac is connected to, and requires your confirmation that the network is yours or that you are authorized to assess it. FREE & PRO Free: device discovery and all standard findings, including the actively-exploited-vulnerability check. Pro (one-time purchase): on-device AI analysis, HTML/PDF report export, and the default-password deep check.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• Recognizes the AirPlay Receiver on your Mac (ports 5000/7000) and explains how to turn it off, instead of treating it as an unknown web service • Self-signed certificates on home devices are now shown as informational, with practical advice • AI explanations stay calm and factual for low-severity findings
