Learn languages while you type, one word at a time. LingoKey brings vocabulary learning to everyday messages with dictionary word meanings beside your keyboard candidates. Choose the language you type and the language you want to learn, then switch direction when you need. Basic typing is free; word learning requires Pro.
Choose typing and learning languages independently from 18 languages and switch your learning direction. Tap an available word translation to use it in your message. Chinese offers Simplified Pinyin, Traditional Pinyin and Traditional Zhuyin; Japanese offers kana and Kanji candidates, and Korean supports Hangul composition. Word meanings come from dictionaries, with coverage that varies by language, word and sense.
Add LingoKey in iOS Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Full Access is optional: basic typing works without it, and you can skip this step in the app. Choose your typing and learning languages and switch to LingoKey when you write.
Pro unlocks vocabulary learning. In the US App Store, Pro is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Eligible yearly subscribers can try Pro free for 3 days; the monthly plan has no free trial. Apple shows your local price and eligibility before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store account. You can restore purchases in the app. Basic keyboard typing stays free.
Typing and dictionary lookup happen on your device. LingoKey does not upload your input and has no ads or tracking. Apple handles purchases and restores, which require a connection. No LingoKey account is needed.
