A small, quiet launcher for your Mac. Open apps and folders, find what you copied and lock your screen from the keyboard. Nothing leaves your Mac. Kelm is a keyboard launcher for your Mac. Press ⌥Space, type a few letters, and hit Return. It shows up when you need it and gets out of the way when you're done. APPS AND FOLDERS • Find apps by name, even with typos. • Open folders like Downloads and Documents, and Finder locations like AirDrop. • Your three most recent items stay at the top. CLIPBOARD HISTORY • Search and reuse text you've copied. • Recording starts once you allow clipboard access in macOS, and you can turn it off anytime. • History is encrypted with AES-GCM and never leaves this Mac. • Preview full text, select several items at once, or delete by time range. • Never saves copies from password managers, authenticator apps, Keychain Access, AutoFill, and other sensitive sources. You can add your own apps to ignore. • Skips text over 64 KiB and anything apps mark as concealed or transient. SHORTCUTS • Give any app its own global shortcut. • Lock your screen with ⌘L. Change or remove the shortcut anytime. • Turn on Open at Login (off by default) to keep your shortcuts ready after a restart. USAGE STATISTICS • See how you use the launcher, apps, folders, and clipboard over time. Statistics are encrypted and stay on this Mac. • Turn statistics off or delete them anytime. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No network access, accounts, analytics, ads, or update checks. • Runs in the App Sandbox. Nothing you type in the search field is stored. Requires macOS 26 or later.
