Chip Mortgage Calculator shows the true monthly cost of a home. It is a mortgage calculator for US fixed-rate home loans.
Most tools show only the loan payment. This one adds the rest. Your Monthly Payment counts principal and interest, property tax, home insurance, PMI, HOA dues, upkeep, utilities and any extra principal you choose to pay. Now you can plan and budget before you buy.
See It on One Screen
Type a home price, a down payment, a rate and a term. Your Monthly Payment sits at the top. Your payoff date is right below it, with the month and year in full.
Tax and insurance start as US averages for the price. Change them any time. PMI is only charged when you put down less than 20%. It stops when the loan drops to 78% of the price on the first schedule.
Look Closer
Tap Details for a chart of where each dollar goes each month. You also get the loan facts and the total you will repay. Add an extra payment and see how much interest you save. You will also see how much sooner the loan is paid off.
Tap Cash Flow for a table of each month. Switch to a table of each year with one tap. Save the table as a CSV file to open in a spreadsheet.
Share a Short Report

Plain Words

The first time you open this mortgage calculator, it fills in a real example. It uses the US median home price of $429,100 (NAR, August 2026) with 20% down. It also gets the latest Freddie Mac 30-year average rate from the St. Louis Fed. That request sends nothing about you. With no signal, the app uses a rate built into it.
