A Bible you can write in. Read a chapter, pick up your Apple Pencil, and take notes in the margin beside the words that prompted them.
Marginalia Bible is a Bible you can write in. Read a chapter, pick up your Apple Pencil, and write in the wide margin beside the text: underline a word, circle a phrase, or jot a thought next to the verse that prompted it. Each note is tied to the words you wrote it beside. It scrolls with the text and stays in place whether you hold your iPad upright or sideways.
WRITE IN THE MARGINS
• A wide margin beside every chapter, with ruled lines if you want them
• Notes stay with their words in any orientation
• Each translation keeps its own notes
• Need more room? Add blank journal pages to any chapter
• No Pencil? Turn on Draw with Finger
READ
• Set in Iowan Old Style, with the words of Jesus in red
• Light or dark pages; your ink stays readable in dark mode
• Go to any book and chapter from a color-coded grid, or type a reference
• Bookmark verses, and copy a verse with its reference
FIND WHAT YOU WROTE
• The Notes page lists every chapter you've written in
• Search your handwriting; it's read on your iPad, not sent anywhere
• Export your notes as a PDF, with the Bible text and your handwriting together
KEEP IT SAFE
• Notes sync through your own iCloud account
• Back up everything to a single file
• Deleted notes wait in Recently Deleted for 30 days

The KJV and ASV are built in, and the NET and NLT work right away. The ESV, NIV, CSB and NASB need a free API key from their publishers for personal use. The app explains how to get one.
