Dream Journal – Morning Notes

Voice diary with transcription

$0.99

Speak your dream as you wake and get a transcript. On devices with Apple Intelligence, add on-device summaries, tags, and an Image Playground illustration. Dream details can fade within minutes of waking. Dream Journal lets you capture them right away by voice or text, then transcribe, organize, search, and revisit them. CAPTURE FIRST • The Home screen is ready to record: tap once to start and again to save, or switch to text. • The screen stays on while you record. If you lock your device, recording continues until you tap Stop. If a call interrupts, what you recorded is kept and you can resume. • Build one dream from several text and audio segments as more fragments come back, and edit, collapse, or delete any of them. • The "Record a Dream" shortcut for Siri and the Shortcuts app opens the app and starts recording. AUTOMATIC TRANSCRIPTION • When you stop recording, Apple speech recognition turns it into text (you can turn this off). Unfinished transcriptions resume the next time you open the app. • Transcribe in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, or your system language. • Edit any transcript; the original recording stays unchanged. ON-DEVICE ORGANIZATION • On supported devices with Apple Intelligence turned on (iOS 26 or later), Apple's on-device language model suggests a title, summary, reflection, and up to six tags. • Styles: Gentle Reflection, Organize Only, or Explore Imagery. • Only "Untitled Dream" titles are replaced automatically; titles you edit are kept. • If the model isn't available, the app explains why, and capture, transcription, and search keep working. DREAM ILLUSTRATIONS • On a dream's detail screen, tap Create Illustration to open Apple's Image Playground. Nothing is generated until you tap. • Requires iOS 18.1 or later on a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Image Playground turned on. • On iOS 26 or later, when the on-device model is available, the dream is first turned into a short scene description without people. You can change the description and style in the sheet. • Illustrations are saved on your device, appear on dream cards, and can be recreated or removed. CALENDAR, LIBRARY, AND SEARCH • Browse in a timeline or a monthly calendar, with several dreams per day. • Search titles, dream text, summaries, interpretations, and tags; filter by tag and date range. SHARE WITH AN AI APP YOU CHOOSE • Send a structured prompt or the original recordings to an AI app of your choice through the share sheet. Copy its JSON reply and come back to import the title, summary, interpretation, and tags. • Nothing is sent to an AI app until you tap Share or Copy. The app never reads your account information in other apps. OPTIONAL PRIVATE ICLOUD SYNC • Off by default. When on, dreams, recordings, and illustrations are stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account and use your iCloud storage. • iPhone and iPad signed in to the same Apple Account stay in sync. No separate account is needed. • Dream text is stored in CloudKit encrypted fields. Pause sync or delete all cloud data at any time. • Capture and browse offline; sync retries when you are back online. BACKUP AND RESTORE • Export all dreams, organization results, tags, recordings, and illustrations as one zip file for Files or AirDrop. Restoring skips dreams already on the device. ALSO • Universal app for iPhone and iPad, in Simplified Chinese and English (switchable in the app). • No ads, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites. Dream summaries and reflections are for journaling and self-reflection only. They are not medical or psychological diagnoses. Availability of Apple Intelligence and Image Playground depends on your device, iOS version, language, and region.
