Dreadful Spider: Horror Escape

Escape the giant spider

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Ten levels in the dark. Each one makes the building bigger: up to 5 floors, 4 spiders hunting together and 6 hidden doses. Three weeks ago, the Vasconcelos Institute of Biotechnology stopped responding. In Project GIGAS, scientists were testing a growth hormone on a huntsman spider. She never stopped growing. Now the building is dark, the main door locks behind anyone who walks in, and the only vial of V-7 serum, the cure Ana needs, is somewhere inside. You go in alone, with nothing but a flashlight. SHE HEARS YOU The spider hunts by sound and light. Walking is risky. Running draws her in. Your flashlight shows you the way, and it shows her where you are. HIDE If she spots you, run and get inside a locker. Hold your breath while her legs pass by outside. Just never let her see you get in. FIND THE SERUM The doses move every time you get caught. Search the metal carts, floor by floor: reception, infirmary, cafeteria, generator room, archive, vivarium and the nest. USE THE ELEVATOR The freight elevator still works. Step in and the door closes by itself: in there you are hidden, and only then do you choose a floor. You can also just stand in the dark and wait for the legs to pass. UNCOVER WHAT HAPPENED Notes pinned to the walls tell the story of Project GIGAS: lab reports, the night guard's journal, the emergency manual and a letter from Dr. Helena. TEN LEVELS, A BUILDING THAT GROWS • Level 1: one floor, one spider, one dose. That is your training. • From level 3 the building gains floors, and the stairs become an escape route. • From level 4 there are two spiders; three at level 7; four at level 9. • Level 10: five floors, four spiders, six doses and almost no light. Each level unlocks only when you beat the one before it, and the menu tells you up front what you are walking into: how many floors, how many spiders, how many doses. BUILT FOR IPHONE • Simple touch controls: joystick, flashlight and action button • Haptics synced to your heartbeat and the spider's footsteps (Core Haptics) • 3D audio: wear headphones to hear where she's coming from • Three lives in the early levels, two from level six on, and a record of your best time • Plays offline, with no ads and no data collection • In English, Portuguese, French and Italian Turn off the lights, put on your headphones and try to get out alive. Warning: contains jump scares, loud sounds, flashing lights and a giant spider. Not recommended for people with arachnophobia or photosensitive epilepsy.
