Edit the existing text, mark up, sign, merge, compress, redact and make scans searchable, with no subscription, no watermarks, no ads and no account. Plenty of "free" PDF apps put the useful parts behind a weekly subscription, or stamp a watermark on your file the moment you save. This one doesn't. Every feature is included, and the app never connects to the internet, so your documents stay on your Mac. EDIT • Click any text block and retype it in place, in the closest matching font, size, color and alignment • The original text is replaced in the file, not covered with a white box • Paragraphs reflow within their width; one-line amounts keep their alignment • Select, move, resize, replace or delete images • Full undo and redo ASK AND SUMMARIZE, PRIVATELY • Summarize a whole document or one page, with every point linked to its page • Ask a question and get an answer with clickable page citations • Pull out parties, dates, deadlines and amounts from contracts and invoices • Runs on the private, on-device model built into macOS, on Macs that support it. The App Store version is the complete app, not a cut-down edition. A few honest notes on editing: a bold word inside a paragraph is rewritten in the paragraph's main font. Rotated or vertical text, decorative Type3 fonts and right-to-left scripts can't be edited in place; the app says so and suggests redacting and adding a text box.
