Bari, the abandoned seventh princess, descends into the Underworld to find the Water of Life that can save her parents.
Each run is the 49-day road the dead must walk. It is a landscape hack-and-slash roguelite: slash and dodge with two thumbs, and stack the blessings of the Four Guardians.
[The Story]
Princess Bari (Baridegi) is a Korean myth passed down in shamanic song. Cast away as a seventh daughter, she walks to the end of the Underworld to bring back the Water of Life for the parents who abandoned her. This game walks her road, borrowing from Korean and Jeju shamanic myths.
[Features]
• The 49-Day Road — a new hell every seven days, from the Yellow Springs to the Western Realm. Face Gangrim the Reaper, Ox-Head & Horse-Face, King Yeomra and Mujangseung. A run takes about 35–40 minutes.
• Judgment of the Ten Kings — on days 14, 28 and 42, Kings Chogang, Ogwan and Byeonseong judge your soul. Confess, claim merit or stay silent, and the next seven rooms change.
• Seven weapons — the Spirit Blade, Trident and Spirit Bells, plus four Bond weapons, given at Bond Rank 5 by the Mountain Spirit, Gangrim, the Dokkaebi and the Ledger Scribe: Gold Axe, Silver Axe (throw, catch, build momentum); Gangrim's Chain (big damage at its tip); the Dokkaebi Club (charge, release at the perfect moment); and the Judge's Brush (encircle foes in ink for a Verdict).
• Samsara — an endless mode after the ending. Past the 49 days wait the Hundredth Day, One Year and Three Years, the last a new boss, King Odo-Jeollyun; then the wheel turns forever and Karma rises every Stage. From the fourth wheel, each turn adds a Wheel Rule. Samsara's Hell of Darkness shows only what your lantern lights. Milestones at 3, 10, 20, 49 and 108 Stages bring Bouquets and titles, each weapon keeps its own record, and Weekly Samsara sets one themed run for everyone and awards Seals.
• Room-by-room combat — clear a room, then pick a door by the reward marked above it.
• Blessings of the Four Guardians — the Vermilion Bird's fire, the Azure Dragon's lightning, the White Tiger's iron, the Black Tortoise's water and ice. Mix 28 blessings differently every run and empower them; two gods' blessings together open 6 Concord blessings.
• Boss traits — defeat Gangrim, Ox-Head & Horse-Face, King Yeomra or King Odo-Jeollyun and inherit one of their traits. 20 in all.
• Bari's Notebook — catch white butterflies to win back memories the Underworld washed away. An ink-painted intro and 17 pages tell her story.
• A painted ending and Karma — after the ink-painted ending, lead home 12 lost souls and raise the difficulty up to 20 Karma levels. The heavier your Karma, the more lost they are.
• The Flower Path — the Souls you gather stay when you fall. Bloom its flowers to grow stronger for good and open 28 Secret Arts.
• Daily Descent and Tasks — a short 7-room run whose region, weapon, gods and rules change daily, plus daily and weekly tasks and dew Souls gathered while you are away.
• Chronicle — collect 53 codex entries, 51 achievements, 11 attires and 27 titles.
• Bonds — give bouquets to the 8 people you meet in the Underworld for their stories and keepsakes. 40 stories in all.
• Touch controls — drag to move; buttons attack, dash, use your special and throw talismans. Aim assist, button size, left-handed and battery-saver options.
• Colors and sounds — ink-wash portraits, dancheong patterns, brushstroke effects, and music for every hell and for King Odo-Jeollyun.
