Mask them, reorder them, switch them off. Your original pixels never change. SELECTIONS THAT UNDERSTAND YOUR IMAGE Marquees, lassos and the Magic Wand for precision. Quick Selection, Object Selection and Select Subject when you want the computer to do the tracing. Select and Mask refines hair-fine edges. Everything runs on your Mac. TYPE, VECTORS AND BRUSHES Type with full typography controls, vector shapes and paths, and a brush engine with pressure, tilt and graphics-tablet support. REAL FILES Opens PSD, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WebP, OpenRaster and camera raw files from most makers. Saves layered PSD. 8, 16 and 32-bit colour in RGB, Grayscale, CMYK and Lab, with ICC colour management and soft proofing. OPEN SOURCE UNDERNEATH DM Adieu Photo is based on PhotoCraft, the open-source editor by the ArtCraft team, written in Rust with a GPU compositor. Dependent Media packages it, runs it inside the macOS App Sandbox and supports it. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the ArtCraft team. WHERE IT STANDS The editor underneath is young and improving every week. Some tools you may be used to are missing or still rough, and there are no generative features. Updates will be frequent.
