One tap on a link in a text message or email can land you on a convincing fake site. PhishBrake is a safety brake for Safari that helps you avoid opening phishing sites by mistake. It compares the address of each site you open with your trust list and lets you know at a glance. SPOT LOOK-ALIKE FAKE SITES Open an address that may be impersonating a site in your trust list, such as a one-letter swap, look-alike characters, a different ending, or a brand name inside another address, and PhishBrake shows a warning right away. A GENTLE HEADS-UP ON UNFAMILIAR SITES Open a site that isn't in your trust list and a small notice appears at the top of the page. If the page has a password or card number field, PhishBrake warns you. A BRAKE BEFORE PHISHING PAGES LOAD (PRO) Block mode stops sites that aren't in your trust list before they load. When you need to, open a site just this once or add it to your trust list. Form submissions such as card payment verification aren't stopped. CHECK LINKS WITHOUT OPENING THEM Copy a link from a text message and paste it into the app to check it without opening it. MAJOR SERVICES BUILT IN The built-in trust list covers major global services such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, PayPal, Amazon, Zoom, and Webex, plus banks, card companies, shopping, delivery, and government sites in Japan. Add the sites you use yourself. YOUR BROWSING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Everything is checked on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. No browsing history or personal data is collected. FREE AND PRO The free version includes impersonation detection, the built-in trust list, and notices, and lets you add up to 10 of your own domains. Pro, a one-time purchase, adds unlimited domains, Block mode, Strict mode, and backup and restore. Buy once and use it on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Family Sharing is supported. GOOD TO KNOW - PhishBrake is a Safari extension. Turn it on in Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions and allow website access. - It doesn't work in the built-in browsers of other apps or in browsers other than Safari. - It can't stop every scam site. Stay careful with suspicious links.
