Optimized for iPhone Duo: the wall on one screen, the list or the map on the other. Your Axis cameras live on iPhone and iPad, with no account and no server.
W0nd3rW4ll Lite shows live video from your Axis network cameras on your iPhone and iPad: a wall of tiles, the camera list to build it and, when your cameras report their position, a map that locates them.
OPTIMIZED FOR IPHONE DUO
The app makes the most of both screens of iPhone Duo:
- opened like a book, the wall fills the left screen and the list or the map the right one, and a line of the list can be dragged onto the wall, from one screen to the other;
- set up like a laptop, the wall fills the top screen and the list or the map the bottom one;
- closed, the outer screen shows only the cameras;
- opened flat, the layout follows the width of the screen, as on iPad.
IMPORT YOUR CAMERA LIST
Tap Import Camera List (with a keyboard: Command-O) and choose a JSON file that gives, for each camera, its name, its address (an IPv4 address or a host name; IPv6 addresses are not supported), its user name and its password; you can also drop the file into the app's folder from the Files app. The app then queries each camera to discover its views (each sensor of a multi-sensor camera, and the overview when it serves one), without changing any of its settings. THE CAMERA LIST
- On iPad and wide screens, the list sits in a column on the left and the map below the wall; the List and Map buttons show or hide each of them independently.
- On iPhone held upright, the list and the map share the bottom area.
- Tap a line to put the view on the wall; a check mark shows the views already there.
- Search by name (Command-F): each word you type matches the beginning of a word in the name, ignoring case and accents.
THE WALL
- Live 16:9 tiles, as large as the screen allows.
- Tap a tile to select it: ×1, ×2 and ×3 set its size, and the cross removes it from the wall. Drag it to move it.
- Double-tap a tile to show its view alone; double-tap again to return to the wall.
- The round button hides the list and the map: the wall takes the whole screen.
THE MAP
As soon as a camera reports its GPS position, the map locates each camera. Tap a marker to select its camera; double-tap it to put its first view on the wall.
PTZ CAMERAS
The single view of a motorized camera is controlled by touch: tap to center the camera on that point, drag to aim it, pinch to zoom.
THE LAST LAYOUT
At the next launch, the wall brings back the views it showed, in the same order and at the same sizes.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
- No account, no intermediate server, no data collected: the app communicates only with the cameras in your list, and with Apple Maps to draw the map; the camera list and the layout stay on your device.
- Once fully imported from the app's folder, the camera list file is removed from it: no password remains readable there.
- An HTTPS certificate valid for the camera's name is accepted; otherwise it is pinned on first contact, and a certificate that changes afterwards is refused.
REQUIREMENTS
- iOS 27 or iPadOS 27, or later: iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo.
- Axis network cameras reachable from the device over HTTPS (port 443, VAPIX API) and RTSP (port 554, H.264 video), with an account on each camera.
- For cameras on the local network, Local Network permission.
Interface in English and French, following the device language.
