Descroll adds a small, temporary bit of friction to websites you choose in Safari.
Enable Descroll for a website, then browse normally. After an unpredictable delay, one of six effects may change scrolling or page colors. Use touch on iPhone or iPad, or a trackpad or mouse on Mac. By default, Change effects between pages is on. As you move between pages in a feed, Descroll can switch to a different effect after a fresh, unpredictable wait. Only one effect runs at a time. Turn the option off to keep the same effect until you reload the page.
Use Repair until reload to restore ordinary behavior and keep it that way until reload, including as you move through the site. Reload starts a new independent draw, which may repeat. Turn Descroll off for a website at any time. Websites start off, and Safari asks you to grant website access.
Descroll has no account, advertising, analytics, or Descroll server. Site preferences and temporary effect state stay on your device. Effects can make pages harder to read. Descroll is voluntary; it is not a usage limit or parental control.
