CourseChips puts the courses you want on a table: enter seats and headcounts, drag your chips, and instantly see your odds at different bids. POINTS ARE YOUR CHIPS • Enter each course's seats and sign-ups; no headcount? Estimate from how popular it is • If your school seats its own majors or seniors first, enter how many rank ahead of you • quiet, steady, hot, packed: heat at a glance • Drag a chip and watch the odds change; the brighter the track, the better your odds • Know last term's cutoff? The app uses it to estimate this round's LET THE APP SPLIT YOUR POINTS • "Win the most courses": find the split that gets you the most courses, weighted by importance • "Secure N courses" (Pro): maximize the chance of winning at least N • Lock a course's bid and let the suggestion handle the rest • Built on a probability model and mathematical optimization, not AI guesswork; the main assumptions and limits are explained in Settings > How odds are calculated FOUR WAYS SCHOOLS FILL COURSES • Shared points: one pool for every course; higher bids get in first • A pool per category: each category has its own points that can't be moved • Ranked choices, drawn by round: everyone's first choices before anyone's second, with a ranking suggestion • Register, then draw: ranking doesn't matter; everyone in the same tier is drawn together Start from a rule template, then adjust total points, limits, and tie rules. FREE AND PRO Free: one plan (up to 30 courses), live odds, "Win the most courses" suggestions, and all four registration systems. Pro (pay once, no subscription): unlimited plans, the "Secure N courses" strategy, and in-depth course analysis (odds curves, heat sensitivity, and how many points each level of confidence costs). Family Sharing supported. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account, and no data collected. Your courses are stored only on your phone, and payments are handled entirely by Apple. Odds are a simulation based on the headcounts and heat you enter — not a guarantee. Your school's official results are what count.
