Verbum: Via Verita Vita
Bible study and everyday faith
Free · In‑App Purchases
A new space for the daily Gospel: Scripture, commentary, two practical steps and prayer. Five languages, with content available offline.
Make room for the Word, one day at a time.
Verbum helps you read and study the Bible with attention to Catholic tradition and the questions of everyday life.
READ AND UNDERSTAND
Choose from the Bible editions available in your language. Read a passage in context, follow verse cross-references, highlight meaningful words and save a note beneath a verse.
FROM SCRIPTURE TO LIFE
Today presents the Gospel, simplified commentary, two applications chosen from work, family, friendship and community, and a prayer. Downloadable monthly packs remain available offline. Included content covers 24 October 2026–23 January 2027, following the Roman calendar for Italy. Guided plans combine Scripture, context, commentary, meditation, a question, a practical action and a prayer. Your daily plan and independent study sessions keep separate progress and notes.
THE CHURCH’S YEAR
Explore Roman Rite celebrations in Italy, saints’ stories with attributed images, novenas, prayer periods and penitential observances. Entries distinguish voluntary devotions from applicable fasting and abstinence norms. The included calendar covers 2026 and 2027; local dispensations are not tracked.
IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The interface and study guidance support English, Italian, Romanian, Spanish and French. Bible editions, included books and encyclopedia article availability vary; sources and limitations are identified in the app.
OPTIONAL AI ASSISTANCE
Verbum AI adds passage explanations and conversations, practical reflection and custom plans prepared from your study goal and chosen duration. Verbum Visual includes AI plus maps, biblical journeys and historical illustrations generated from passages. Uncertain places and artistic details are identified; geographic coverage varies.
Reading, search, highlights, notes and included plans stay free. AI features require Apple sign-in, a connection, sharing consent and a subscription. AI includes 30 successful answers per UTC calendar month; Visual also includes 10 illustrations. A custom plan uses one answer. Allowances are separate from billing renewal and do not roll over. Price and duration appear before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple settings. AI assistance is not official Church teaching.
Your notes and saved conversations remain on your device. AI requests you choose to send are processed through Cloudflare and OpenAI.
