The Kinnn
Know where your loved ones are
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Made for one thing: knowing the people you love got where they were going. No ads, no upsells, no paid tier. Just your family, on one quiet and private map.
The Kinnn is a family app first and last. It exists for one reason: you want to know where the people you love are, and that they got there safely. Everything in it serves that purpose, and nothing in it serves anything else.
There are no ads, no upsells, no premium tier and no locked features. There is no tracking and no data for sale. Every location, place, check-in and message is encrypted on your device before it reaches iCloud, so only your family can read it. We can't, and neither can anyone else.
ONE MAP FOR THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE
See everyone at a glance, in words that matter: "At School since 8:12", "Driving home, arrives 5:40", "Paused". Each person shows how they are moving and how much battery they have left. Tap someone for today's arrivals and departures, how far away they are and directions in Maps. When you need to know right now, ask for their location and their phone answers with a fresh spot.
PLACES THAT LOOK AFTER THEM
Add Home, School, practice or work, and choose who you hear about. The Kinnn tells you when someone arrives or leaves, even with the app closed. Everyone in the family sees the same places, each with its own icon.
CHECK ON ME
Walking home late or meeting someone new? Start a timer. If you don't tap I'm OK before it ends, your family gets an alert with your spot.
I'M OK AND SOS
One tap tells your family you're fine, from the app, the Lock Screen, Control Center, Apple Watch or Siri. SOS needs a three-second press and hold, so it never goes off by accident. Your family gets an urgent alert and your live location for the next hour.
ON THE ROAD
Share a trip and your family sees a live arrival time until you get there. Drive reports show the route, top speed and hard brakes to the people you choose. The optional crash check asks if you're OK after a hard jolt in a car, and alerts your family if you don't answer. It can miss a crash, it does not call emergency services, and iPhone's own Crash Detection keeps working alongside it.
TALK AS A FAMILY
Chat with replies, reactions and read receipts, send your spot as a map, and reply straight from a notification. Messages can be translated on the device, so grandparents and grandchildren can talk in their own languages.
YOU DECIDE WHAT THEY SEE
Pause at any time and your family sees "Paused", never an old spot. Share an approximate area with one circle and your exact spot with another. Keep history for a day, a week, a month, forever or not at all, and delete everything in one tap.
MADE TO FEEL LIKE YOURS
No sign-up form: your Apple Account is your account, and the only question is your first name. Invite your family with a link or a QR code. Choose from six themes, including Powder pink, and twelve app icon colors.
ON YOUR APPLE DEVICES
iPhone, iPad and Mac, with Apple Watch, widgets and a Live Activity for trips.
Alerts come from the phone of the person who moves. If that phone is off or has no signal, nobody is told until it reconnects. The Kinnn does not replace emergency services.
