Weather risks in Korea matched to your neighborhood, age and work — 4 levels and one action. No sign-up, 11 languages.
A heat-wave warning reaches all of Seoul at once — but a 30-year-old in an air-conditioned office and a 60-year-old hauling materials at noon are not at the same risk.
날씨살핌 combines Korea Meteorological Administration data with your neighborhood, age, job and what you are doing right now, and tells you in one sentence which level you are at and what to do.
■ Every season on one screen — heat, cold wave, heavy snow, strong wind, heavy rain, typhoon and fine dust. Today's risks are shown together, highest level first.
■ Four levels, backed by public criteria — Attention · Caution · Serious · Danger. Temperature thresholds come from KMA heat-wave and cold-wave impact forecasts, and special warnings from KMA. 날씨살핌 applies them to the current observation right away and adjusts the level for you (our own design). "Why this level?" shows the reasoning and sources.
■ Advice for you — older adults, children, pregnant women, people with chronic conditions and outdoor workers are treated one level higher (vulnerable groups per KDCA / MOEL; the size of the step is our own design). Heat advice is chosen from a table built on 29,000+ KDCA heat-illness surveillance cases; cold advice from KDCA's published age-by-place table; the rest quote official KMA / AirKorea guidelines. The method is shown on screen.
■ 11 languages — Korean, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Vietnamese, Nepali, Khmer, Uzbek, Indonesian and Thai — notifications included.
■ Notifications only when needed — only when your level rises to Caution or higher, at most 4 a day, at night only for Danger. Attention is shown in the app only.
■ Nearest emergency rooms — the 3 closest of 529 nationwide, with distance, phone and map.
■ Minimal data — no sign-up. We store only the neighborhood you choose and your profile. No continuous location tracking, no name or phone number.
