What's new in 3.1 • More accurate LUTs for editing apps. When you export a LUT for a video editor, it now matches Lutsy's own video export, so your grade looks the same in Premiere, Final Cut or Resolve as it does in Lutsy. • The LUT is built for the clip you have open, so the footage type is already set for you. • Zoom and pan while your video plays. Pinch or double-tap to look closely at the detail as it plays. • Small fixes and improvements.

Lutsy 3.0 1. Home: Photos, Files and Camera buttons. Plug in a camera after allowing access and a "connected" card appears. 2. Camera (USB-C): follow the steps, tap a photo to edit, turn on Follow new shots. Check the Following pill and the tip that offers to save the grade as a camera look. 3. Export > LUTs > Export LUT: - Camera: LogC4 (.alf4 / .cube / Both) or LogC3 (.aml / .cube / Both). Save to a stick and load it on the camera. Does it load and match? For LogC3, which folder did it need to be in? - Editing app: pick your footage, share the .cube into Resolve, Premiere or Final Cut. - Each LUT should appear in Blends under its name, and Switch to a saved blend should bring it back. 4. Video: Film > Texture > Sharpen. 5. Export > Credit: add your name and copyright, export a photo and a video, check the info in Photos or Lightroom. Clips should keep their camera details too. 6. Change looks, reset, apply blends: the picture should update straight away. Tell us your camera model, anything that crashes, and anything that's hard to find.

Fixes for large photos. - Exports with a sky mask no longer come out with blocky patches in the sky. - Halation, softness, dehaze and subject masks are steadier on big 48MP photos too.

Small improvements after 2.0. - Match colour is smarter and easier to find: take the look of any photo, including the cast in the shadows and highlights, then set how much you want. It's on the Colour tab, and in Primaries for video. - Move the scopes anywhere over your picture. - Moving from Pro to Ultra is now a simple upgrade. Apple refunds the unused part of Pro. - Try Ultra free for a week, and redeem codes right in Settings. - Export video in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5, and at 4K, 1080p or 720p. - Your plan stays up to date while Lutsy is open. - Small fixes.

Lutsy does video now. - Grade clips with colour wheels, curves, the mixer and point colour, live as it plays. - Apple Log and other cameras' Log, converted properly. - Scopes, timecode, frame stepping, trim and loop. - Film grain, halation and leaks that move with the picture. - Export HEVC or ProRes, HDR kept. - New Lutsy Ultra plan: everything in Pro, plus video. - Optimised for iPhone Duo, with your picture beside the tools. - Tidier grading panel and lots of small fixes.

Fine-tuning, plus a few new tricks. Sky masks are back and smarter. Lutsy finds the sky itself, and leaves bright things lower down alone. Paint motion blur where you want it. You see the blur as you brush, with size, flow and direction all in one row, and it trails off like real movement. Blend thumbnails now show the whole blend, so a black and white blend looks black and white. Auto is gentler on moody photos and won’t blow out your highlights. Remove now shows exactly what it rebuilt. The date stamp prints the day the photo was taken. Export shows the size and format before you save. Tidier tool rows and lots of small fixes.

We've only just launched and this is a massive update. Here’s everything new. COLOUR GRADING, PROPERLY All four grading wheels side by side, like a real grading panel, with a brightness slider under each. Open any wheel large for fine work. Hold the puck still for a moment and it switches to precision mode. See exactly which tones you’re grading: the photo highlights the range as you move a wheel. New grade presets to start from: Teal and orange, Warm shadows, Cool highlights, Golden hour, Moonlight and Cross-process. EDITING Full screen. Hide every tool and just look at your photo, then pinch or double-tap to zoom. Colour is reorganised into Basic, Mixer, Point, Grading and Calibrate. A loupe when picking colours, so you can see exactly what you’re choosing. Auto tells you what it changed, and a second tap puts things back. Heal has a Compare button, to check a fix before moving on. Cropping fills the screen as you go, and pulling the crop wider takes one drag. Stronger chromatic aberration. LOOKS AND BLENDS Browse looks faster. Tap a collection to jump to it, and it lights up as you scroll. Blends choose what they carry. Crop, healing and masks stay off by default, so a blend never crops your next photo. Blends and favourites sync through your own iCloud and follow you to a new phone. TAKE YOUR LOOK WITH YOU Export any edit as a LUT for your desktop photo or video editor, including a version for Apple Log footage. Name it whatever you like. EVERYTHING ELSE Landscape works properly. Tidier tool rows, a refreshed tour and lots of small fixes.
