VoiceGen turns a script into natural-sounding voiceover, right on your Mac. Write your lines, press Generate, and get audio and subtitles. Everything is generated on your device: no account, no subscription, and nothing you write is sent to a server.
It is made for app promo videos, product demos, tutorials and narration, anywhere you would otherwise record a voice yourself or pay per minute.
WRITE AND GENERATE
• Generate line by line. Redo only the line you don't like. Every version is kept, so you can switch back at any time.
• Add [pause 0.8] to your script for a silence, and [voice Name] to change voices partway through.
• Reads amounts, percentages and dates the way a person would say them.
• Works in English and Chinese out of the box. The model can also read Japanese, Korean, German, French and more.
VOICES
• Nine built-in voices, powered by the Qwen3-TTS Standard model that comes with the app.
• Optional High Quality model (a download of about 9 GB, 16 GB of memory recommended): describe a voice in words, such as "warm female voice in her 30s, clear and confident", and save it so it sounds the same every time.
EXPORT
• Export WAV audio together with SRT subtitles that match the voiceover.
USE IT FROM YOUR AI APPS
• Works with MCP-compatible AI apps. Add VoiceGen with the setup shown in the Connect AI page, then ask your AI app to read a script in one of your voices. No API key needed.
• Connect AI is off until you turn it on.
• Shortcuts and Siri: use the "Generate Voiceover" action in your own shortcuts.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Voiceover is generated offline. VoiceGen only connects to the internet if you choose to download an optional model or check for model updates.
• No account, no ads, no analytics. VoiceGen does not collect any data.
