Japan opens when you win Korea's fourth stage (Seoraksan) • Two Japanese weapons – Shuriken that throws three blades at once, and the Shinkansen that races out of a tunnel on the shooter's side • Both final bosses are three times bigger. Where you hit them matters, and when their health drops, helicopters fly in reinforcements • Soak in a Beppu hot spring to heal, mud shells gush more mud, and flowing water ripples like a lake • Computers no longer all gang up on someone who just took a hit – each fights its own fight. Shells hit anywhere on a tank's drawing

• New: Emotes! In online battles and when playing with friends nearby, tap the smiley button to send Wave, White Flag, Nice Shot, Laugh, Wow or Aww. A little big-eyed turret pops up in a bubble right above your tank, then fades to see-through, and your tank joins in by waving its barrel or hopping • Pictures only, no text. Emotes can't be sent back to back, other players' emotes appear small and faint while you aim, and "Hide" stops them from showing • In the Shooting Range Lobby, your aim line stays visible and you can fire right away while other players' shells are in the air

• A new main menu with a golden logo and a big Start Online Battle button – nearby play, the Tour of Korea, Single Player and the Daily Battle at a glance. A short splash plays when the app starts • Every tank now has a name and eyes: Cheoltaeng, Tteugeoptaeng, Ttanggultaeng, Jijiktaeng, Yeonbaltaeng, Haektaeng and Eoltaeng.
