Categories follow the World Health Organization adult classification: below 18.5 underweight, 18.5 to 24.9 normal, 25 to 29.9 overweight, 30 and over obese. Sources: WHO and CDC. IMPORTANT BMI is a screening number, not a diagnosis. It does not measure body fat, muscle, age, sex or fitness.
