Memento Mane is an alarm that guards your morning. Your alarm rings. Stop it, and your Hora Prima begins: for the next hour, the apps you choose stay closed. Open one anyway and you get a line from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca or Epictetus instead of a feed.
Memento mori means "remember you must die." Memento Mane means "remember the morning."
HOW IT WORKS
• Pick the apps that pull you in first thing. Only those pause; calls, messages and everything else keep working.
• Set your alarm and your days. It's a real alarm, with snooze from 1 to 15 minutes and a countdown on your iPhone's Lock Screen.
• Stop the alarm and your protected hour starts. Choose 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
• Snoozing doesn't buy scrolling time: the hour counts from when you finally get up.
• When it's over, your apps open again on their own.
WHEN YOU REALLY NEED IN
