A bookcase for the books you love. Take one down, open its cover, write inside. No accounts, no stats, no goals. Just your shelf. A walnut bookcase for the books you love. Booknook is one quiet thing: a warm wooden bookcase that you fill with your own books. Each book is bound a little differently, in its own cloth, height and typeface, so the shelf grows into a real collection rather than a list. Tap a book and it slides off the shelf and turns to show its cover. Swipe the cover open and write on the first page: what it meant to you, the line you want to keep, the day you finished it. Put it back, and it settles into exactly its place. ON THE SHELF • Books in cloth, leather, linen and paper, each one different • Real covers: as you type a title, covers appear to choose from, or photograph your own copy • Hold a book to move it; a new shelf appears as the collection grows • Warm lamplight by day, soft shelf lights in the evening • Gentle wood and cloth sounds, and haptics INSIDE THE COVER • Write on the first page of any book • Keep quotes, with their page and chapter • Italics, a heading, a soft highlighter, and nothing more • A silk ribbon shows which books hold a note TO SHARE, WHEN YOU WANT TO • Share a book, a single quote or a whole shelf as a beautiful card • Notes stay private unless you choose to share them ON YOUR HOME SCREEN • A slice of your shelf as a widget, in three sizes QUIETLY PRIVATE No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking, and no reading goals or statistics. Your library stays on your iPhone. When you look for a cover, only the title and author you typed are sent to Open Library, and your photos never leave the device. Booknook was made to feel like a small piece of furniture rather than an app: something you come back to because it is beautiful, and because your books are there.
