A handful of suspects. One killer who lies. Every number on the board is a clue: read it, work it out, and name the culprit. No guessing, ever. Each case can be solved by logic alone. HOW IT PLAYS Evidence is hidden under the tiles of the crime scene. A number tells you how many pieces of evidence sit in the 8 tiles around it. Use that to decide which tiles are safe and which hold a clue. • OPEN the tiles you know are safe. • EXAMINE the tiles you know hide evidence. • Use the wrong tool and you lose one of your three flashlights. Lose all three and the killer escapes. Along the way you find the suspects and read their statements. Only the killer always lies, though later cases add a few extra liars to keep you honest. When you are sure, ACCUSE. You do not need to uncover every tile. NEVER PLAYED MINESWEEPER? That is fine. The first case is a short guided one that shows you numbers, tools, suspects and lies one step at a time. A "Stuck?" button points you to a clue when you need a nudge, and it never gives away the answer. A DAILY CASE, FREE A new case arrives every day in Easy, Medium and Hard. Keep your streak, look back over the last seven days, and share a spoiler-free result with friends. STORY Follow the detective through 22 chapters, from a manor house and a night train to a lighthouse, a circus and a toy factory. Each chapter holds 8 cases that grow harder. Solve 5 to open the next chapter. CHALLENGES • Par Hunter: solve it in as few taps or clicks as the par allows. • Lights Out: you get one flashlight. One mistake ends the case. • Speed Case: a small board and two minutes on the clock. The Detective Pass is a single purchase that opens all 22 chapters, the full archive, unlimited challenge runs and every chapter and themed season we add later. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. No subscription, no ads. FAIR PLAY Every case is checked so that it can be solved by deduction alone. If you ever feel you must guess, there is a clue you have not read yet. After each case you can see how you could have known. A PLAIN, QUIET GAME No account and no ads. Everything works offline, and your progress stays on your device. Buying or restoring the Detective Pass needs the App Store. Sounds and haptics can be switched off in Settings. ON IPAD AND MAC Play on the bigger screen, with the case file and coach panel beside the board. On the Mac, play with the keyboard and mouse. Every tool has a key: O to open, E to examine, P to pin, N for the notebook, H for a hint and ⌘↩ to accuse, all in the Case menu. Right-click to EXAMINE, Option-click to PIN.
