Control your INDI observatory from your phone: mount, camera, focuser, filter wheel, dome and weather station. Tap a star on the sky chart and the telescope goes there. Cupola turns your phone into the control panel of your observatory. It connects to any INDI server and builds the right controls for every device it finds, so you can point at a star, start an exposure and close the dome without walking back to the computer. WHAT YOU NEED An INDI server on your network, such as a Raspberry Pi running Astroberry or StellarMate, or a computer running KStars/Ekos or indiserver. Cupola connects on port 7624 and finds servers on your Wi-Fi by itself. It needs an INDI server to work. A CARD FOR EVERY DEVICE • Mount: coordinates, slew pad, slew rate, tracking and park • Camera: exposure, frame type, cooling and the latest frame, with stretch and histogram • Focuser, filter wheel, rotator, dome, weather station, GPS, flat panel, dust cap, SQM meter and more • Any other driver gets a full panel built from its own properties, so nothing is out of reach • Connect to several servers at once, such as the observatory and a portable rig SKY CHART AND GOTO • A sky chart and catalog of stars, planets, the Moon and deep-sky objects • Rise, transit and set times, and tonight's altitude for every object • Tap Go to and a crosshair follows your mount across the chart • Won't slew below your altitude limit or while the mount is parked • Works offline: positions are calculated on the phone LOCATION AND TIME FOR YOUR MOUNT Cupola can use your phone's location as the observing site, and tells you when the site stored in your mount is far from where you are. One tap sends your phone's location and time to the mount, so GoTo lands where it should, even at a new dark site. Your location is only read when you use these features. KNOW WHAT CHANGED Banners tell you when a slew finishes, the dome closes or the weather turns unsafe. Come back to the app and a summary shows what happened while you were away. IMAGES Frames arrive in the app with a stretch and histogram. Save them to Photos, export the files, or find them in the Files app. MADE FOR THE DARK Night mode turns the whole app red on black. Large readouts and touch targets work with cold fingers at the eyepiece. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads and no analytics. Your servers, settings and images stay on your phone, and the app talks directly to your own INDI server. Available in English and Spanish.
