BusySMS OTP Autofill
SMS codes from your own phones
Only for Mac
Free
Mac
Verification codes texted to your own phones fill themselves in on the site you are signing in to, and Enter is pressed for you. Works with Android and iPhone.
BusySMS OTP Autofill types sign-in codes into Safari for you. When a website texts a verification code to one of your own phones, the code appears in the page you are signing in to and Enter is pressed, so you move straight on. No reaching for the phone, no copying six digits by hand.
It works with BusySMS, an SMS gateway on the phones you own: the BusySMS app on Android, or the BusySMS app on iPhone, forwards the verification codes those phones receive to your BusySMS account, and this extension fills them in from there.
HOW IT WORKS ON A MAC
1. Install the app and open it once. It holds the Safari extension: click "Quit and Open Safari Settings…".
2. In Safari Settings → Extensions, turn on BusySMS OTP Autofill.
3. Allow it on websites. It fills the code field on whichever site you sign in to, so allow it on every website, or allow sites one at a time when Safari asks.
4. Click the BusySMS button in the Safari toolbar and sign in with a code sent to your phone number or email. Already signed in at busysms.net in Safari? Click "Use browser login" to reuse that login.
5. Ask a website for a code by text message. When it reaches your phone, the code is filled in for you.
WHAT YOU GET
• Automatic fill on the page you are on: a single code field or a row of digit boxes, including sign-in forms inside frames
• Enter pressed after the fill, so the page moves on by itself
• The toolbar button shows your latest code, the service, and the phone and number it came to, with Copy code and Fill latest
• If a page will not take the code, Fill latest puts it on your clipboard to paste
• Codes from numbers your teammates share with you, labelled with who shared them
• Autofill on or off with one switch
• A notifications inbox, the same one as in your BusySMS dashboard
• One click to open your BusySMS dashboard, already signed in
• Sign in with a BusySMS API key instead of a code, if you prefer
WHAT YOU NEED
• A Mac with macOS 14 or later
• A BusySMS account. Signing in with your phone number or email for the first time creates one.
• At least one phone running BusySMS, with its number verified: the BusySMS app on Android, or the BusySMS app on iPhone with its Shortcuts automation turned on
BUILT FOR
Developers, QA and operations teams who sign in to services with their own phone numbers many times a day, and anyone tired of picking up the phone for a six-digit code.
PRIVACY
Only codes from the phone numbers you have verified in your BusySMS account are used, plus numbers someone has chosen to share with you. BusySMS supplies no phone numbers and reads no one else's messages. Your BusySMS sign-in stays in the extension's local storage on this Mac.
Some sign-in widgets cannot be filled by any extension. When that happens, the code is one click away in the toolbar to copy.
